Heavy Mechanical Complex, a renowned industrial manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Company Secretary. This executive position requires a strategic thinker with a proven record in financial management and regulatory compliance to lead the company’s financial operations and corporate governance functions. This role is on a contract basis for an initial term of three (3) years, extendable based on performance.
Key Responsibilities :
As a CFO and Company Secretary, you will be responsible for:
- Financial Oversight: Lead the financial operations, covering budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive financial reporting.
- Strategic Financial Management: Develop and implement robust financial strategies, policies, and procedures to maintain the financial well-being of the organization.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable financial laws, regulations, and standards, such as IFRS, while preparing and presenting financial statements and reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Risk and Investment Management: Manage financial risks and identify opportunities for investment and funding to secure and grow the company’s assets.
- Corporate Governance: As the Company Secretary, ensure compliance with SECP regulations, conduct meetings of the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors (BOD), and maintain regulatory and statutory records.
- Audit and Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the finance team, encouraging professional development and high performance.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow, planning accounts, and other financial transactions for efficient financial management.
- Financial Controls: Develop and maintain robust financial control systems.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning and decision-making to align financial objectives with the organization’s mission.

Eligibility Criteria :
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, FCMA, CPA, or equivalent. A minimum of 10 years of financial management experience is essential, with at least 5 years in a CFO role within a public sector or SECP-registered company.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
- Company Secretarial Experience: Prior experience as a Company Secretary, adhering to SECP guidelines.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Proven track record in strategic financial planning and management.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are vital to lead the finance team and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Government and Audit Compliance: Knowledge of government regulations, audit policies, and PIFRA standards (Project to Improve Financial Reporting and Auditing).
- Age Limit: Candidates should be 50 years old or younger.
- Steel Industry Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the steel manufacturing industry.
- Compensation: The salary package is market-competitive and performance-based.
